Lucas Oil Late Models Ready for Tennessee and Kentucky
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

WAYCROSS, GA (May 27, 2015) – The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will venture to Tennessee and Kentucky this weekend for two action-packed events. The series returns to Tazewell Speedway in Tazewell, Tennessee on Friday, May 29th before heading to Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky on Saturday, May 30th. Both events include a complete show of: Miller Welders Time Trials, Heat Races, B-Mains, and a 50-lap, $10,000-to-win main event.

Tazewell Speedway, better known as “The Bad Fast Taz,” is accustomed to thrilling, edge of your seat racing action. Regional standouts such as Billy Ogle Jr., Vic Hill, and Donald McIntosh will battle the stars of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series in the “Toyota Knoxville 50.” In 2014, Jimmy Owens of Newport, Tennessee emerged victorious over Scott Bloomquist following a classic battle around the lightning-fast, 1/3-mile oval. Also on the racing program for Friday, May 29th are the Sportsman, Classic Cars, Super Stocks, and Four Cylinders.

The Tazewell Motor Lodge is the Official Host Hotel of Tazewell Speedway and the “Toyota Knoxville 50.” For more information or to make reservations, visit their website at www.tazewellmotorlodge.com or call (423) 626-7229.

Florence Speedway will host the 29th Annual “Ralph Latham Memorial,” in honor of the late Ralph Latham. Latham, a long-time Cincinnati area racer, lost his battle with cancer in August of 1986. The historic, 1/2-mile oval has produced some of the most memorable events in series history. Jimmy Owens completed the weekend sweep with his third-career “Ralph Latham Memorial” victory in 2014. The Open Wheel Modifieds and Crate Late Models will also be in action on Saturday, May 30th.

The Official Host Hotel of Florence Speedway is the Hilton Cincinnati Airport, located at Exit 182 (Turfway Road) off I-75/71 in Florence, Kentucky. For reservations, call (859) 371-4400 and request the Florence Speedway rate.
