LEGEND CARS GET GREEN FLAG DRIVING EXPERIENCE SPONSORSHIP AT WALL STADIUM FOR 2015
WALL TOWNSHIP, N.J. ~ Green Flag Driving Experience, where first time drivers or seasoned professionals get to drive real racecars on a real race track at Wall Stadium Speedway, is the official sponsor of the 2015 Legend Cars series says speedway office administrator Diane Krause. The Green Flag Driving Experience offers enthusiasts the opportunity to drive a Legend Car, TQ Midget or a Modified stock car on the famous third-mile high-banked paved oval.
“The Green Flag Driving Experience has been offered here at Wall Stadium for many years and has given a lot of people the opportunity to drive real racecars,” Krause said. “Gary Conkling and all of the people associated with the driving experience have always been here to help and the fact that they are sponsoring our Legend Cars division is just outstanding.”
In addition to the sponsorship, the Green Flag Driving Experience will offer racers additional help this season.
“New Jersey will now require that head and neck restraints be worn during most events at speedways in the state,” Conkling said. “Since we use these in the driving experience we have several on hand. We will offer for rent a head and neck restraint to any driver who doesn’t have one.
“As far as our Legend Cars sponsorship goes we offer Legend Cars experiences so it is a natural.”
The driving experience is conducted at the speedway on most Saturday mornings. More information is available at greenflagdrivingexperience.com.
In other Legend Cars news Dylans RV Center in Sewell, N.J. has been announced as the Legend Cars “Triple Crown” sponsor for the 2015 season. The first of three Legend Cars “Triple Crown” races is set for May 16.
Sponsorships for some divisional series at the speedway are still available.
The 2015 weekly Saturday night campaign gets the green flag on April 25 but racers in all divisions will have the opportunity to test out their new and rebuilt equipment on the two Saturdays (April 11 and 18) leading up to the opener from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. both days. Although both are paid sessions for competitors grandstand admission is free of charge.
In honor of the 65th anniversary season Krause is asking all feature winners in the history of Wall Stadium to contact the speedway office so that they can be honored during the season.
The complete schedule is available at wallspeedwayracing.com as are the rules and regulations for all divisions.
Current plans call for Saturday evening stock car racing events to run until the end of September. Post-season events, the “Spooky Spectacular” in October and the Thanksgiving weekend “Turkey Derby,” are also being planned.
