JUNE 12 WALL OF FAME NIGHT CANCELLED DUE TO RAIN
Ohsweken, Ontario – Heavy afternoon rain at Ohsweken Speedway and a forecast for more bad weather has forced the cancellation of Rochester Knighthawks night on Friday, June 12. The Wall of Fame ceremonies scheduled for tonightwill now take place on Friday, July 3.
Ohsweken’s 20th anniversary season will continue next Friday, June 19 when Renway Energy presents “Corr/Pak vs. PST” Night. The Corr/Pak Merchandising 360 Sprint Car division will take on invaders from the Patriot Sprint Tour, while the Strickland’s GMC Crate Sprint Car, Affordable Towing & Recovery Thunder Stock, HRW Automotive Mini Stock, & Gale’s Auto Aftermarket Bomber divisions are also scheduled to compete next Friday, June 19. Founded in 1996, Ohsweken Speedway is a motorsports complex which includes a 3/8 (0.375) mile clay oval track. The facility is owned by the Styres family, and located in the village of Ohsweken, Ontario, Canada. Ohsweken’s weekly Friday night racing program runs from May to September each year, featuring 360 Sprint Cars, Crate Sprint Cars, Thunder Stocks, Mini Stocks, and Bombers, while the season finishes each year with the annual Canadian Sprint Car Nationals.
