GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY’S BRUCE AND TERESA ROGERS SELECTED AS 2014 AUTO RACING PROMOTER OF THE YEAR IN THE EASTERN REGION FOR THE FIFTH TIME

BECHTELSVILLE, PA January 8, 2015 . . . Auto racing promoters from across the country have, for the fifth time, named Bruce and Teresa Rogers, along with their family members, as 2014 Auto Racing Promoter of the Year in the Eastern region. The Rogers family has owned and operated the award winning NASCAR sanctioned Grandview Speedway located in Bechtelsville, PA for 53 years.

As the Eastern region award winner the Rogers family is now in the running for the Thirty-Ninth Auto Racing Promoter of the Year Award when it is announced during the Speedweek RPM (Racing Promotion Monthly) Promoters Workshop at the Hilton Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort February 16-18th.

More than 500 promoters and staff members representing auto racing facilities across the nation will be in attendance.

“It is always an honor to even be considered for this award,” said Rogers. “It shows our team is doing something right when we are able to claim this award for a fifth time. Perhaps this will be the year we can earn the big one.”

Grandview Speedway continues to be one of the most successful short track racing facilities in the nation and presents NASCAR stock car racing each Saturday night throughout the season along with a number of special Thunder on the Hill promotions that are run in partnership with Bob Miller.

The 2015 season will get underway on Saturday, March 28th, when the annual free-to-the-public practice session is presented starting at noon. All racers planning to compete at Grandview Speedway are invited to participate in the practice session.

Officially the battle for the NASCAR track titles gets underway on Saturday, April 4th, 7 p.m. with a tripleheader show featuring the 358 Modifieds, BRC Late Models and Sportsman stock cars. Those three divisions will be the weekly attraction for most Saturday nights.
