GEORGETOWN, DE – After nearly a month of inactivity, action returns to Georgetown Speedway on Friday, September 21.

The ‘September Showdown’ features a full lineup of auto racing on the banked, half-mile oval. The lightning-fast Capitol Renegade United Racing Club (URC) 360 Sprint Cars make their only 2018 appearance at Georgetown, competing in a 25-lap A-Main.

Curt Michael of nearby Ocean View, Del., sits second, only one point behind Weller. Currently third through fifth, respectively, are Eddie Strada of Lake Ariel, Pa., Chad Layton of Harrisburg, Pa., and Ryan Quackenbush of Goshen, N.Y.

URC officials are working diligently to bring a strong field south to the First State for this event.

Sunoco big-block/small-block Modifieds race 30 laps for a $3,000 winner’s share and $250 to take the green flag on the heels of a memorable ‘Blast at the Beach’ on Tuesday, August 28.

Also on the program: L&J Sheet Metal Crate 602 Sportsman ($1,000 to win), Little Lincoln Stock Cars, Southern Delaware Vintage Stock Cars, Delmarva Chargers and Delaware Super Trucks.
