mrp_2354-x2Woodhull NY.- September 22, 2016 – Saturday night at Woodhull Raceway, Joe Willcox Performance Automatics will present a full night of full-fender action as the Fight Night Street Stock Series will join the 360 Late Models, Open Mini Stocks, Open Front Wheel Drives and open-wheel Crate Sportsman.

The Fight Night Series will make their debut at Woodhull Raceway in the richest Street Stock race the Steuben County clay oval has ever seen.  The winner of the one hundred-lap event will pocket a cool $1,000.  However, the take home will likely be much higher with just over $4,800 in lap sponsorships and contingency prizes being on the line.  The winner of Saturday’s Woodhull 100 will also earn a guaranteed starting spot in the Empire 100, to be held Saturday October 22nd at Outlaw Speedway.

Every lap of the event was sponsored with at least $20, with many laps carrying upwards of $100 for that particular lap.  The lap money will be spread out using the ‘Lucky 7 Lap Bonus Program’ format that is used on the Short Track Super Series for Modifieds.

On top of the one hundred lap sponsors, there are many sponsored contingency prizes.  Several businesses and manufacturers have posted prizes like Potter Chassis for heat race winners, MRC Chassis for the winner of the race and for the leader on lap forty-four.  The race winner will also get a $100 gift certificate for Close Racing Supply.

The Hard Charger of the event will earn a racing transmission refresh from Joe Willcox Performance Automatics.  The Move of the Race has been sponsored for $200 worth of machine work at Empson Automotive.  The Hard Luck award was sponsored by Christy Buono for $50.

Other contingencies include the ‘Who Got The Shaft Award’ that will see all drivers who do not finish be entered into a drawing for a free driveshaft from the Jeredd Dennis race team.  Bill Pryslopski has sponsored $50 for the driver who leads the most laps, $50 will be on the line for the driver running in 19th place on Lap 19 from Williams Racing and a $50 bonus for the 9th place running driver on Lap 9 from Precision Racing Fabrication.

If a Street Stock driver can sweep Outlaw Speedway Friday night and Woodhull Saturday, they will earn a $200 bonus from Creekside Racing and Turn 5 Live.

mrp_2402-x3Two added bonuses include a $300 bonus being available to any Barrett Chassis drivers if they win the Woodhull 100 in a new or old Barrett.  The first MRC Chassis across the line will also earn a set of bumpers, courtesy of Russell Morseman at MRC Chassis.

There’s a lot on the line for the Street Stocks Saturday, but they’re not the only class on display.  The Crate Sportsman will race thirty laps on Saturday night, where Jeffery Daugherty will try and make it two-for-two in his short Crate Sportsman career.

The 360 Late Models will compete in a thirty-lap feature event as well, with the Open Mini Stocks and Open Front Wheel Drives racing in twenty-lap feature events.

Fans can find their way into the grandstands Saturday at 3:30 for only $15 for adults 13 and up.  Seniors and ages 8-12 will be $8.  Children 7 and under are always free at Woodhull Raceway.  Free camping is offered on the speedway grounds for those wishing to make it a weekend of family, friends and dirt track racing.
