The winner walks off with more than $3500 for his winning efforts.
Craig VonDohren, winner of the opening night Modified feature race, is a favorite in the 35-lapper but he will have plenty of competition from the likes of Duane Howard, Jeff Strunk, Meme DeSantis, Mike Gular, Ray Swinehart and a host of others.
Along with the Modifieds racing in a full schedule of qualifying events topped off by the 35-lap special event there will be racing for the BRC Late Models and Sportsman stock cars. At least 12 events of racing will make up the night of racing excitement.
Adult admission is $20 for the special night while youngsters 6 thru 11 paying just $5. Kids under 6 are admitted free. Gates open at 5 p.m. with racing getting the green at 7 p.m.
The 5 p.m. Low Down and Dirty Meet and Greet will feature the same drivers with their cars on display as were scheduled on April 9. Included are NASCAR 358 Modified driver Steve Swinehart, Late Model talent Eric Hoch and Sportsman veteran Dean Bachman.
The night of racing will be filmed for later viewing on RCN/TV with the racing spread over two TV nights.
Jim Bernheisel, President of Bernheisel Race Components, announced that last year’s sponsorship for the BRC Late Models at Grandview Speedway will be renewed in 2016. There will be a BRC Superior Products Night, with every late model competitor in action that night receiving something of real value. Bernheisel will be partnering with parts suppliers and manufacturers to provide real components and parts. The only requirements to the competitors is that on that night they display Bernheisel Race Components decals on the left and right sides of their cars to receive their portion of the $7000 parts to be handed out.
Also at Grandview, Bernheisel will again sponsor the Hard Charger Award and will have a weekly tire giveaway. Each night a tire will be given away by the luck of the draw of all late models in attendance. A driver can only win one time and at the end of the year, any driver that has participated in all late model events during the season who has not won a tire during the year will be given a tire.
