BATAVIA, OH (February 26, 2018) – DirtonDirt.com – dirt late model racing’s true home on the internet – will continue an extensive partnership with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series in 2018 and beyond.
“Our affiliation with DirtonDirt.com runs deep,” said Rick Schwallie, Series Director. “It wouldn’t be possible for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series to bring exciting motorsports to fans without the help from dedicated partners like DirtonDirt.com.”
As part of the partnership, DirtonDirt.com has expanded their support of the popular Crown Jewel Cup program. The ASi Racewear Crown Jewel Cup – presented by DirtonDirt.com program will award points to drivers at the twelve crown jewel events within the series schedule that pay $20,000 or more to the winner.
The driver that maintains perfect attendance throughout the season and earns the most points, within these twelve events, will receive a $10,000 bonus at the championship awards banquet. In 2018, the drivers who finish second through fifth in the Crown Jewel Cup will earn $5,000, $3,000, $2,000, and $1,000 in cash, respectively.
“I’ve always been a huge fan of the ‘championship inside the championship’ chase in sports, and the Crown Jewel Cup is just that,” said Michael Rigsby, CEO of DirtonDirt.com. “It gives the drivers an extra chance to earn money throughout the course of the year in a unique format that showcases the biggest races.
