WEEDSPORT, NY – June 20, 2019 – Is there a better way to kick off the DIRTcar 358 Modified Series than a doubleheader at two premier DIRTcar race tracks? On Wednesday, June 26, the Series travels north to LaFargeville, NY to take on “The Nasty Track” Can-Am Speedway for a $4,000-to-win, 60-lap rumble. Then the convoy of 358 Modified haulers will roll south to Fulton Speedway for the $4,000-to-win Showdown at Sundown.
A highly competitive contingent of DIRTcar 358 Modifieds is expected to challenge these first two legs of the season. Jordan McCreadie, who picked up a win at Mohawk Int’l Raceway earlier this year, will be in attendance. In fact. three of the top drivers at Can-Am Speedway — Ryan Bartlett, Jordan McCreadie, and Ryan Arbuthnot — will make a run at the Series Championship in 2019.
The next day, Thursday, June 27, the Series heads to Fulton Speedway for the Showdown at Sundown 100. Defending Series Champion Larry Wight will certainly look to defend his home territory against Tim Sears Jr. and Ron Davis III. Sears and Davis rounded out the Fulton Speedway Track Championship podium in 2018 with Larry Wight on top of that as well.
Fans, competitors, and teams have shown how excited they are about the newly unified Series. Exceptional DIRTcar drivers like Kyle Dingwall, Corey Wheeler, Steve Bernard, Tyler Meeks, Chris Raabe, Billy Whittaker, and even former Super DIRTcar Series regular Chad Brachmann.
Of course, some of our current Super DIRTcar Series stars will be on hand to take on the best 358 Modified drivers out there. These include threats like Mat Williamson, Danny Johnson, Mike Mahaney, Larry Wight, and more.
Our friends at St. Lawrence Radiology are helping to bring the action to you on both nights. For all DIRTcar 358 Modified Series races, the minimum top three payout is $4,000 to the winner with $2,500, and $1,500 going to second and third respectively.
