Delaware International Speedway Makes Additions To 2015 Racing Format
The management of the Delaware International Speedway is making changes to enhance the racing format for 2015. These changes will come to both premiere divisions. The Napa Big Block Modifieds will now see more competition in the weeks to come. Track promoter, Charles Cathell states, he has been approached by several racers over the past few weeks. These teams have expressed their interest in participating with the ever growing popular 363 maximum cubic inch small block engines.
After careful consideration, Cathell and his track technical staff have made the decision to implement a new ruling for small block modifieds to compete, in their weekly modified program.
Around the region, these race teams encounter a weight reduction break and cubic inch limit. Cathell goes on to add, we feel with this combination, race teams will be competitive and help address fluctuating weekly car counts.
Effective immediately, we will allow cars with a 363 cu.in maximum motor size to run at 2400 lbs., car & driver after race weight.
We would like to welcome race teams from the Mid Atlantic region to come out and participate with us!
Look for upcoming changes to the S.R. Pete & Sons Super Late Model Division coming soon!
