The event also signifies the first asphalt event in the Southern Tier of New York curing racers and race fans of “Cabin Fever”.

“Everyone is ready to go and now the way the Spring has played out to this point we haven’t had many opportunities to get out and race,” stated Orchard Park’s Patrick Emerling. “It will be great to get to Chemung and give it our all. The track presents us with some setup and driving challenges, but I think we can be competitive when it counts.”

Hirschman has a knack for always being in the hunt at Chemung.

“It’s a challenging track which presents opportunities for passing and you have to hit your marks,” offered Hirschman. “I think the fans will see the usual great racing that the Series always brings to Chemung. It will definitely be exciting.”

Bryan Sherwood of Binghamton, N.Y., is ready to compete at Chemung in the 75-lap event on Sunday.
