Saturday Port Royal Juniata County Fair Opener Offers UFO Late Model Butch Renninger Memorial 33, 410 Sprints, Econo Late Models and Xtreme Stocks

PORT ROYAL, Pa. –August 30, 2016- Port Royal Speedway will kickoff the 162nd annual Juniata County Fair with the annual running of the Butch Renninger Memorial 33 sanctioned by the UFO Late Models this Saturday night, September 3 at 7 pm.
The prestigious Renninger 33, run in honor of the late three-time track champion, will pay $3,300 to win, $300 to start and $33 to lead a lap in the 33-lap feature event.
There will be NO time trials for the late models.
Joining the UFO Late Model Renninger 33 on the program will be the 410 sprints, the econo late models and the xtreme stocks to round out the huge four-division fair kickoff racing program.
Grandstand adult general admission for the big show is $18 with students ages 12 – 18 priced at $7. Outside fair gate admission for adults is $4.
A host of sponsorship products and money is on the line for all stock car divisions on Saturday in honor of Renninger.
Aside from $33 to lead a lap in the super late main, other super late money on the line includes a minimum $75 hard charger award in the feature and $33 to win each of the super late model heat races as well as to finish second.
For the econo late models the heats will also pay $33 to finish first and second and the same value will be paid out to the econo late model hard charger. Another $33 will go to the highest finishing Juniata County driver in the econo main.
For the xtreme stocks a $33 hard charger award is posted as well to go along with a $33 hard luck award.
Other stock car contingency prizes to be distributed at the special event include three-foot subs from Rock It Pizza, five-gallon fuel jugs from Smith Tire, rivets from ADP Rivet, Champion Lubricants gift packs, and gift certificates from MBH Race Cars, Superfly Shocks, Fryeco, BDR Products and Brooks Graphix.
Dylan Yoder of Selinsgrove is the defending winner of the Butch Renninger Memorial 33.
Previous winners of the track’s marquee event for the super late models have been: Steve Campbell, Scott Haus, Mitch Hack, Jere Wierman, Tim Wilson, Waylon Wagner, Jeff Rine, Gregg Satterlee, Jason Covert and Justin Kann.

Port Royal Speedway Is The Place To Be On Labor Day, $5 Infield Admission For 65th Annual Labor Day Sprint Car Fair Classic
Sprints race for $4,000 to win in afternoon Juniata County Fair special!
The 65th annual Labor Day Fair Classic for sprint cars is set to be staged coming up on Labor Day afternoon, September 5 at Port Royal Speedway as part of the ongoing 162nd annual Juniata County Fair.
The Labor Day Classic will go 25 laps in distance for the 410 sprints, paying $4,000 to win and $325 to start. Joining the sprints on the afternoon classic card are the Central Pa Legends and the four cylinder pure stocks.
A demolition derby will be staged on the frontstretch following the racing program.
Racing gets underway at 1 pm.
Infield admission for all fans ages 12 and up for the racing program ONLY is JUST $5!
Adult grandstand general admission for both the racing program and the demolition derby to follow is $12 with students ages 12 – 18 priced at $7.
ALL GRANDSTAND ADMISSION INCLUDES BOTH THE RACING PROGRAM AND DEMOLITION DERBY.
For those fairgoers wishing only to attend the demolition derby, admission will be just $5, put on sale following he oval track racing program.
Admission to the Juniata County Fair that surrounds Port Royal Speedway is FREE for the entire day.
Brent Marks is the defending Labor Day Classic sprint champion as he came out on top of a wild three-car skirmish for the win during the final laps.
On the final lap of last year’s race, leader Dylan Cisney pushed his car into the first corner trying to get around a backmarker when Aaron Ott blasted the top into the corner and took the lead. At the same time Brent Marks surged as low as he could go into the turns and got by Cisney as well.
And then as they split the backmarker exiting the second turn, Marks drew even with Ott and then shot into weak control on the backstretch with Ott following directly behind him through the final turns to come up short by less than a second at the finish.
Monday’s Labor Day Classic for sprint cars sets the stage for the September 9 and 10 Tuscarora 50 races sanctioned by Tony Stewart’s Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions Sprint Cars.
