Due to the unprecedented amount of Friday night rainouts this season, promoter Jake Smulley has indicated that the track will utilize Sunday nights as rain dates for the remainder of the 2017 season starting with this week’s events. With the current season winding down quickly culminating the annual Coal Cracker 72 on Sunday Sept 3rd, the track has decided they needed to do this for the teams and the fans of the speedway.

This Friday night the mighty URC Sprint cars will make another appearance at the track. The URC sprints always put on a good show up in “God’s Country” and this Friday night should be no exception.

Also on hand this Friday night will be the Steel and Metal Services 358 Modifieds along with the Savage 61 Roadrunners and the No Sweat Service Group Street Stocks. The Roadrunners will also take part in their rescheduled Pro Shine Challenge races. The U.S.S. Achey Sportsman division will be given the week off unless the Sunday rain date is used (see below).

The Speedway will also present its “Hunt the Giant” night which was previously scheduled last Friday night. The track will have Free Ice Cream (while supplies last) along with Live Music, Free Popcorn, Giveaways and a Kids Victory Lane Contest.

As always, the gates open on Friday night at 5:30pm with warm-ups beginning at 7:30pm. General admission for Friday night’s show is $23.00 and as usual kids under 12 and active military with ID are admitted free.

*Rain date for this show is Sunday August 13th. If the rain date is needed, the URC Sprint cars will not be on the card and the U.S.S. Achey Sportsman Modifieds will be added. Heats will start one half hour earlier on Sunday at 7:00pm.
