14440759_1286461624760162_3851022665542617926_nMOORESVILLE, N.C. (Sept. 20, 2016) – SPEED SPORT and DIRTcar Racing are joining together to bring dirt racing’s biggest events to a national television audience on MAVTV.

The SPEED SPORT video production team, in conjunction with DIRTcar’s DIRTvision.com, will produce 12 hours of television, including separate broadcasts for each of the four feature events from NAPA Super DIRT Week in October at Oswego (N.Y.) Speedway, which is being covered with dirt for the first time ever. Also part of the package are the Super DIRTcar Big-Block Modified championship-deciding races from the Bad Boy Off Road World Finals Oct. 28-29 at The Dirt Track at Charlotte. And SPEED SPORT will air a combination of DIRTcar events from the season-opening DIRTcar Nationals in February at Volusia Speedway Park, including Big-Block Modifieds, Late Models and UMP Modifieds.

“DIRTcar racers from all across the Northeast are already excited enough to try their hand for the first time at Oswego Speedway as a dirt track,” said DIRTcar CEO Brian Carter. “The opportunity for each division’s championship event to be nationally televised in its own broadcast on MAVTV presented by SPEED SPORT will only make the NAPA Super DIRT Week stage that much bigger.”

What’s more, SPEED SPORT has already partnered with Weedsport Speedway to bring three one-hour Super DIRTcar Big-Block Modified Series events to MAVTV from the beautifully renovated track in Central New York.

“We are very excited to work with DIRTcar Racing to bring its premier events to national television,” said SPEED SPORT’s Ralph Sheheen. “Super DIRT Week, the World Finals and the DIRTcar Nationals are three of the biggest events in racing, with incredibly passionate fans, and there’s nobody more excited about short-track dirt racing than those of us at SPEED SPORT. Our goal is to showcase all of that passion and enthusiasm for the viewer at home.”

From NAPA Super DIRT Week, the Super DIRTcar Big-Block Modified Series Bud Light 300 will be a two-hour broadcast airing at 7 p.m. Eastern on Thanksgiving night, Nov. 24. The 358-Modified Riccelli-Northern Salute the Troops 150, the DIRTcar Sportsman Chevrolet Performance 75, and the DIRTcar Pro Stock 50 will each be one-hour broadcasts airing at 7 p.m. on select Thursdays to be determined. The on-air team will include Ralph Sheheen and Shane Andrews, with Dan Kapuscinski and Rich Vleck reporting from the pits.

In addition, each of the Super DIRTcar Big-Block Modified features from the Bad Boy Off Road World Finals will be one-hour broadcasts, as will the trio of broadcasts from the DIRTcar Nationals.
