“75 YEARS OF MIDGET AUTO RACING HISTORY” TO BE BIG PART OF PPB MOTORSPORTS 2015

OAKS, PA December 3, 2014 . . . Midget auto racing, the history of the sport, will play an important part in the Pioneer Pole Buildings Motorsports 2015 Presented by Sunoco Race Fuels Distributed by Insinger Performance Race Car and Trade Show. The hugely popular show, filling 250,000 square feet of the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, PA, takes place January 23rd thru January 25th.

Many former American Racing Drivers Club champions and key figures involved in the history of the sport will be part of the “75 Years of Midget Racing History” with a large part of the show being devoted to a display that is scheduled to include close to a dozen midgets, representing the sport from the 1930s/40s into the era of the 50s, 60s moving right on up to the current latest-style midget race cars.

At least 20 drivers/key people representing the history of midget auto racing are expected to be a part of the display with a huge autograph session schedule for Saturday afternoon during the 30th anniversary of the show.

Lou Zrinski and Ron Lauer, two key figures in the sport of Midget auto racing, have volunteered to coordinate the “75 Years of Midget Racing History” and they are asking interested parties to be in touch if they would like to be part of their efforts to remember the sport. The PPB Motorsports 2015 show offers just about everything imaginable in motorsports with more than 200 motorsports vehicles of all types, from stock cars, drag racing, NASCAR, motorcycles, and more.

Attendees will be able to pick up 2015 schedules from their favorite tracks and racing organizations, visit with vendors offering a variety of motorsports items and services plus attend a number of FREE events during the three days.

Free parking is offered at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center.
