OSWEGO, NY (August 28, 2017) – With Oswego Speedway’s contingencies for this Sunday, September 3rd’s Budweiser International Classic 200 for the Novelis Supermodifieds announced a bit earlier this afternoon, track management is pleased to reveal the payout, contingencies, and driver bonuses for the 26th Bud Light Classic 75 for the Small Block Supermodifieds.
Approximately $1,200 in lap money will be distributed and over $1,000 in driver bonuses, which includes the CNY Chevy Dealers Front Row Qualifier Awards, the D&S Landscaping Hard Charger Award, Lakeside Property Services Last Car on the Lead Lap Award in Memory of Ida Hollenbeck and the ‘11th Place Award’ given to the 11th place finisher in Memory of Justin Lamb. Other bonuses include the $125 Mike Kapuscinski Memorial ‘Rookie of the Race,’ and the $200 Last Car Running Award courtesy of Oswego Classic Can-Am Camping Group in Memory of Norm and Vi Helbock.
Lap money pays a minimum of $25 a lap, this season adding up to over $1,200. The purse will also remain the same for the 26th running of the Bud Light Classic 75, with $12,195 in cash being paid out to the 24 guaranteed starters. For the second year in a row, the Bud Light SBS Classic 75 will be held on Sunday afternoon.
All together, over $15,000 will be handed out to Small Block Supermodified competitors this weekend with 34 cars already pre-registered to take part in qualifying, making this the largest Small Block Super Classic field since 2005, when there were 36 cars on hand.
Classic Weekend action gets started this Friday, September 1 as Central New York Chevy Dealers ‘Pole Day’ Qualifying will take place for the Supermodifieds and Small Block Supers ahead of the Bud Light Classic 75 and Budweiser International Classic 200 which will both take place this Sunday, September 3. A ‘Party in the Pits’ featuring a performance by Dirtroad Ruckus along with the top 6 Pathfinder Bank SBS redraw will take place at the infield stage to conclude the evening’s program.

Eagle Beverage and Budweiser Beer: One 12-pack of Bud Light shall go to each one of the starters in the Bud Light Small Block Classic.
JP Jewelers Classic Ring: JP Jewelers of Oswego, NY presents the Classic Ring to the winner of the Bud Light SBS Classic. The hand crafted keepsake ring is valued at $3,000.
Lakeside Property Services: The last car on the lead lap will receive $100 in Memory of Ida Hollenbeck. The 11th place finisher in the bud Light Small Block Super Classic will receive $100 in Memory of Justin Lamb.
Mike Kapuscinski Memorial: The highest finishing rookie of the Bud Light SBS classic will receive $125.
National Speed Sport News: The winner of the Bud Light SBS Classic will receive a one-year subscription.
Oswego Classic Can-Am Camping Group: The Last Car Running in the Bud Light Classic 75 will receive $200 in Memory of Norm and Vi Helbock.
Pyrotect Racing Cells: The top 5 in the Bud Light SBS Classic 75 will receive $50 in merchandise certificates.
White’s Car Care: The 4th place finisher in the bud Light Classic 75 will receive $50.
Money: Bud Light Classic 75 lap money is approximately $1,200, paying a minimum of $20 per lap. Only sold laps will be paid.
