(July 25, 2015) – Ohsweken, Ontario – Ohsweken Speedway’s 20th season of racing continues this Monday and Tuesday with two very special events: The Arrow Express Six Nations Showdown featuring the World of Outlaws Sprint Car series on Tuesday, July 28, preceded by the Burger Barn Northern Summer Nationals on Monday, July 27.

Arrow Express returns as presenting sponsor of the Six Nations Showdown featuring the World of Outlaws Sprint Car series, Affordable Towing & Recovery Thunder Stocks, and Gale’s Auto Aftermarket Bombers on Tuesday, July 28.

The World of Outlaws Sprint Car series is the world’s premier winged sprint car series. The 2015 WoO schedule includes 90 events at 56 different tracks across 23 American states and 3 Canadian provinces. The tour’s visit to Ohsweken will begin a three-race eastern Canadian swing which continues at Brockville, Ontario on Friday, July 31, and concludes at Drummondville, Quebec on Saturday, August 1.

North Dakota’s Donny Schatz leads the WoO championship standings, and has already reached the 20 win mark this season as he chases his 7th series title. Other drivers chasing WoO points this season include Oklahoma drivers Shane Stewart and Daryn Pittman, Paul McMahan of Tennessee, Indiana’s Joey Saldana and Kraig Kinser, Australian Kerry Madsen, California driver Brad Sweet, Tennessee’s Jason Sides, Pennsylvanians Logan Schuchart and Jacob Allen, Louisiana’s Jason Johnson, and Connecticut driver David Gravel.

The World of Outlaws Sprint Car series has competed at Ohsweken on 9 occasions dating back to 2007. Jason Sides won that first event on July 25, 2007, and also recorded wins at Ohsweken on July 29, 2009, and July 30, 2010. Jason Meyers won at Ohsweken on July 28, 2009, Donny Schatz was the winner on August 1, 2010, July 30, 2013, and July 29, 2014, and Tony Stewart took the checkered flag on both July 27, 2011, and July 31, 2012.

The Northern Summer Nationals event on July 27 includes the Corr/Pak Merchandising 360 Sprint Cars, Strickland’s GMC Crate Sprint Cars, HRW Automotive Mini Stocks, and the only appearance of the season at Ohsweken for the DIRTcar 358 “Small Block” Modifieds.

The Corr/Pak Merchandising 360 Sprint Car portion of the Northern Summer Nationals event will include a 25 lap feature, with a $3,000 winner’s prize, valuable championship points, and a guaranteed starting spot no worse than 8th in the 11th annual Canadian Sprint Car Nationals feature on the line.

The DIRTcar 358 Modified portion of the event will pay the feature winner $1,500, and will count towards the 358 Modified Mr. DIRTcar championship which takes into account a driver’s best 16 finishes between January 1st and Labour Day.
