What Does Your Track Championship Pay? New Egypt Speedway Modified Champion To Earn $10,000 Again In 2018

New Egypt, NJ – Just like it has it has for the last 20 years, New Egypt Speedway will pay $10,000 to its Modified champion again in 2018.

Billy Pauch Jr. will be back to defend his 2017 crown aboard Rick Holsten’s No. 96 but the task of repeating wont be easy. Pauch Jr. coming off of a season that saw him win five features will have some stout competition in 2018. Ryan Godown will be back aboard the Atlas Paving No. 66 chasing Pauch Jr. in search of his fifth title in seven seasons at the Ocean County, NJ speed factory. No one ended the 2017 New Egypt Speedway season hotter then Plumsteadville, PA’s Danny Bouc who won two out of the last three Modified points paying races, he looks to play spoiler against Pauch and Godown.

Other Modified championship contenders look to be David VanHorn who will be back aboard the Fred Vahlsing owned No. 323, Ryan Krachun who had a stout 2017 season coming home sixth in points, John McClelland, Dominick Buffalino who will be back as a New Egypt Speedway regular and many more.

The aforementioned drivers will also have to deal with an impressive crop of weekly Modified newcomer’s that include 410 Sprint Car standout Davey Sammons, TJ Lilly, JR Fulper, Brian Papiez and more!

Also, you may never know who will show up on Opening Night in search of the 2018 crown.

New Egypt Speedway will also continue to pay $2,500 to win weekly in the Modifieds as well as $300 just to start the 30 Lap feature.

New Egypt Speedway’s first on track activity of 2018 will be the March Meltdown on Saturday March 24th, which will feature a 50-Lap Big Block vs. Small Block Modified event paying $5,000 to the winner and $400 to take the green. The Crate vs. Open Sportsman will also be on the card in a 25-Lap event paying $1,000 to the winner.

2018 New Egypt Speedway points will begin on Saturday night April 7th when Oliver Communications Group presents Modifieds, Sportsman, Northeast Wingless Sprint Cars, Crate Modifieds and the Lyons Construction/Metal Fab Rookie Sportsman.

New Egypt Speedway is located on Route 539 in New Egypt, NJ just minutes from Six Flags Great Adventure and the New Jersey Turnpike.
