Utica Rome Rescheduled To June 5th; Pro Stocks Open June 3rd At Malta

FONDA, NY- May 17, 2016- For the 2nd year in a row Mother Nature forced the rescheduling of the King Of Dirt Racing Series openers for both the Crate Sportsman and Pro Stock divisions. Temporarily the first ever visit for KOD to the action track of the east Utica Rome Speedway will have to wait until June 5th where both Crate Sportsman and Pro Stocks will be in action.
“Bill and Kim tried their very best to keep the grounds ready for racing, but it rained a bit over night and the forecast during the day Sunday called for more showers and cold temperatures. We made the decision with the best interest of traveling teams from near and far along with the fans to postpone due to the weather. We’re excited though, because in a couple weeks we’ll be at Utica Rome on June 5th to try again for both the KOD Sportsman and KOD Pro Stocks,” said Rob Hazer, King Of Dirt Promoter.
On June 5th the 1-800-GOT-JUNK? King Of Dirt Crate Sportsman Series presented by Dodson Construction, Elmo’s Speed & Supply, and Hoosier Racing Tire will open their season with a 30-lap feature event paying $1,000 to win and $100 to start. J-Tees heat winners receive $25 and exclusive heat victory T-Shirts. $20 traditional entry fee due at registration.
That same day the Lazzaro’s Auto Body King Of Dirt Pro Stock Series presented by Speed’s Garage, Stone Motorsports, and A1-Installers will also be racing a 30-lap feature event paying $750 to win and $50 to start. Also the feature winner will receive a case of motor oil along with a Wix Racing Oil Filter from Macedon Parts Plus. J-Tees heat winners will receive $25 and exclusive heat victory T-Shirts. $20 traditional entry fee due at registration.
Before that all happens the full-fender Pro Stocks open their season at Albany-Saratoga Speedway on June 3rd for the Pro Stock Classic. 30 laps of door-to-door action at the great race place for $750 to win and $50 to start including J-Tees heat winning bonuses of $25 and exclusive heat victory T-Shirts. $20 traditional entry fee due at registration.
