48th Season Of Racing For Virginia Motor Speedway

JAMAICA, Va. –November 29, 2016- Virginia Motor Speedway has released the schedule for next season, which will make the 48th season of racing for the Virginia half-mile dirt oval.
The schedule includes 13 nights of Aaron’s Dirt Series Championship weekly racing action. The schedule also includes two Ultimate Super Late Model sanctioned events – the April 8 $20,000 to win Aaron’s King of the Commonwealth and the $20,000 to win 40th Annual USA 100 presented by Commonwealth Motorsports. Also on the schedule is the $20,000 to win FASTRAK World Championship presented by James River Equipment weekend and two mud bogs at the facilities state-of-the-art 200 pit.
The 48th season opening event will take place on April 1 and feature a full program of Aaron’s Dirt Series Championship action that will include the Victory Lap Pro Late Model, Truckin Thunder Sportsman, Budweiser Modified and Collision One Limited Stock divisions.
The season’s first special event will be April 8 and see the return of the Ultimate Super Late Model Series for the $20,000 to win Aaron’s King of the Commonwealth along with a $3,000 to win FASTRAK National Tour event for Pro Late Models.
On June 3 the Ultimate Super Late Model Series stars and cars return for the 40th annual USA 100 presented by Commonwealth Motorsports and pay $20,000 to win. There will also be a $3,000 to win FASTRAK National Tour event for Pro Late Models.
The 2017 FASTRAK World Championship returns Sept. 15-17 and will get a purse boost to $20,000 to win. The weekend will also include a $5.000 to win FASTRAK World Challenge event for FASTRAK members only and a $3.000 to win Southeast Dirt Modified Series event.
