USAC: Full Schedule Revealed for “Week of Indy” Racing Action

INDIANAPOLIS  IND.- May 5, 2016- USAC and Track Enterprises have released full details for the Week of Indy, slated for May 25-27 at locations around Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

The three night show features open wheel cars from the AMSOIL USAC National Sprint Car Series and the USAC Silver Crown Series.  The events will be held at the Terre Haute Action Track, the Indiana State Fairgrounds and Lucas Oil Raceway.

A superticket, which gives fans a 25 percent discount if they attend all three events, will be available for purchase.

USAC’s The Week Of Indy begins at the Terre Haute Action Track on Wednesday, May 25.  The Tony Hulman Classic will feature the AMSOIL National Sprint Car Series and the UMP DIRTcar Modifieds.  Last year’s event was postponed due to inclement weather and rescheduled as part of the Hurtubise season ending event.

General admission tickets for the Tony Hulman Classic will be sold at the gate for $25 on race day.  Infield tickets are also available for $15, while children 10 and under are free.

On Thursday, May 26, fans will make the short trek to the east and the Indiana State Fairgrounds for the 62nd running of the Hoosier Hundred.  The 100-mile race features the USAC Silver Crown Series and UMP DIRTcar Modifieds.  Not only does the Hoosier Hundred have a rich history, but the modified event pays $2,000 to win and draws some of the best competitors to the mile.

Reserved seating is available for the Hoosier Hundred by calling the Track Enterprises office, the Indiana State Fairgrounds, or through Ticketmaster.  Reserved seats for adults are being sold for $25 pre-sale or $30 at the gate.  Infield tickets will be available for $15 for adults and $5 for kids 11 and under.

The final event of the Track Enterprises promotion is on Friday, May 27 at Lucas Oil Raceway.  For the first time, the USAC Silver Crown Series will be running at the Clermont, Ind., complex on Friday in an event that will be known as the Carb Night Classic…The Race Before The 500.

In years past the event was held on Saturday, which created a split in fans and drivers with the Little 500 going on the same day. The Carb Night Classic will also feature action from two Mazda Road to Indy divisions, the Pro Mazda Championship and Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship.
