UNSETTLED WEATHER AND A FORECAST OF RAIN THROUGHOUT THE NIGHT BRINGS CANCELLATION OF THE 2015 USAC EASTERN STORM WEDNESDAY NIGHT AT LINCOLN SPEEDWAY

It is with great disappointment, that rain will again force the cancellation of the Eastern Storm USAC Non-Wing Sprint Tour for the second night in a row, this time taking its toll at the Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, PA.

The weather is extremely unsettled and with a 50% or greater chance of rain throughout the day and late into the night, the chances of completing this event are not favorable. In 2014, we were up against very similar weather conditions and chose to battle Mother Nature and we lost. So it is with the highest respect and consideration of both race fans and competitors that we make this decision.

The Lincoln Eastern Storm event will be rescheduled when USAC returns in 2016 again offering a complete show plus the make-up features that were rained out in 2014.

For nine years, I have truly put my heart into trying to make the USAC Eastern Storm a success , promoting two or three of the tour events each year. Like many race fans, I too want to see the race, but the weather is just not working to our advantage.

Although Friday night is open for USAC, without the proper advance advertising of the rain date, this is not a good option. Other considerations also include that drivers in both divisions would also be faced with a race date conflict at another track on Friday night.

Thank you for your support and strong interest in the USAC Eastern Storm. With your help and the continued support of the current participating tracks who are part of the Eastern Storm, we will keep this non-wing excitement alive going forward.

Please watch for additional details as USAC and event promoters Bob Miller and Ray Herold set plans for the 2016 return of the USAC Eastern Storm.
