IMG_0001Fonda, NY – August 12, 2016- This Saturday, August 13th at the “Track of Champions” Fonda Speedway the modified, A-Verdi sportsman, and pro stock drivers will all compete in three 20-lap main events with bonus money on the line for each division. If one modified driver can win all three of the “Triple 20” feature events, they will be awarded with the STR Trailer $5,000 bonus along with $1,500 to win each segment for a grand total of $9,500!

Demitraszek Enterprises would like to thank STR Trailer owner Mike Sowle for sponsoring the $5,000 bonus to win all three events and there will also be bonus money on the line for drivers in the A-Verdi sportsman and pro stock divisions as well. A-Verdi is the proud sponsor of the sportsman division at both the Glen Ridge Motorsports Park and Fonda Speedway and the management of both tracks would like to thank them for their support as well during the 2016-racing season.

STR Trailer is also sponsoring the STR Trailer Repair Series, a combined point series between both the Glen Ridge and Fonda A-Verdi sportsman divisions. At the end of the season banquet, STR will pay the winner of the $12,711.00 point fund a HEFTY $7,711.00! The series is for the top 15 drivers in the combined point standings for both tracks who will all receive $$ at the end of the 2016 racing season.

IMG_0156“This point fund was developed between the Glen Ridge and Fonda Speedways to reward the drivers who participate weekly at both tracks,” stated Mike Sowle president of his Glen, NY business STR Trailer Repair in a press release earlier this year. “STR is putting up $10,711.00 and the tracks are putting in $1,000.00 from each speedway. This point fund is in addition to the regular Glen Ridge and Fonda point funds which are derived from 50/50 ticket sales as well as any sanctioning series point funds and will be paid out to the top 15 cars in the series.”

The modified drivers are also benefitting from a $10,000 combined point fund for drivers who run regularly at both Glen Ridge and Fonda. “Awesome news, we have just passed the $10,000 mark for the combined modified point fund between the Fonda Speedway and the Glen Ridge Motorsports Park and it’s still growing,” promoter Pete Demitraszek said on the Glen Ridge Facebook page earlier this season.

“The top ten modified drivers racing weekly at both speedways will take part in the “DARE YA” point fund sponsored by Palmer Service Center, Morris Ford and now two other people who wish to remain silent. The “DARE YA” point fund is on top of both tracks regular point funds and any other sanctioning point funds”, according to Demitraszek.
