251CENTER LISLE, NY –September 23, 2016-  This Friday night, Sept. 23 brings on the MjH Oilfield Wade Decker Memorial at Thunder Mountain Speedway.

The second-to-last round of the Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By VP Halmar International North Region takes place. STSS Modifieds race 50 laps for $5,000 to win, $400 to start and a number of attractive bonus awards including a $500-to-win Cash Dash, $500 Halfway Leader Bonus, Integra Shock Package for Hard Charger and an EZ Tool package to the Hard Luck recipient.

134Street Stocks are in the spotlight, as well, racing for $1,000 to win thanks to Cook Trucking. There is a $200-to-win Cash Dash, $200 Halfway Bonus, $100 Hard Charger and $100 Hard Luck Award for their 20-lap program.

Open-wheel competitors have not been forgotten. Crate 602 Sportsman race 25 laps for $1,000 to win and $100 to start. Open Sportsman, added to the event, have a 20-lap feature with $750 up for grabs.

The Wade Decker Memorial is the final event of the season at Thunder Mountain, a three-eighths-mile clay oval located just outside of Whitney Point, N.Y.

Pit gates open at 3 p.m. Grandstand gates are unlocked at 4 p.m. Hot laps will get underway at 6 p.m. Racing begins at 7 p.m.

Adult grandstand admission is $22. Seniors (ages 65 and up) and Students (ages 10-17) pay $15. Kids 9 and under are FREE. Pit admission is $35 – no license required!
