The Ocean Outlaw Showdown Presented By Budweiser On Tap April 1st

APTOS, CA- February 27, 2016- Sporadically visiting the Ocean Speedway at the Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds in Watsonville, CA since 2000, The World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Series is set to make their first appearance at the racy ¼ mile bullring for the first time since 2008 during the Ocean Outlaw Showdown presented by Budweiser on April 1st.
“We are excited to welcome back the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series to the Ocean Speedway,” said John Prentice, track promoter. “Working with the World of Outlaws the last few years, I know my staff is thrilled to have the best in the World back at the Ocean Speedway for the Ocean Outlaw Showdown presented by Budweiser.”
Back in 2008, it was “The King of the Outlaws”, Steve Kinser, outduelling fellow Hall of Fame driver, Jac Haudenchild, to grab the win in what was a very memorable race at the Ocean Speedway. Other drivers to win with the World of Outlaws at the Ocean Speedway include Brad Furr in 2002, Andy Hillenburg in 2001, and Joey Saldana in 2000.
With the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series now off and running in 2016, it is California product, Brad Sweet leading the way with the early points lead on the strength of two feature event victories, with reigning series champ, Donny Schatz, the only other feature event winner after three races.
Sweet and Schatz will be on hand during the April 1st Ocean Outlaw Showdown presented by Budweiser along with Bixby, OK driver, Shane Stewart, Owasso, OK native, Daryn Pittman, Brownsburg, IN resident, Joey Saldana, Paul McMahan who hails from Nashville, TN by way of Elk Grove, CA, and a host of other top drivers in the country mixed with a strong contingent of local California stars.
