 Arenacross, Quarter Midgets, Go Karts, R/C Racing, Robot Conflict & Ms. Motorama Crowning Highlight Jam-Packed Sunday

_MG_0130HARRISBURG, PA -February 21,2016  –An estimated 30,000 fans were provided an abundance of automotive entertainment, Saturday, at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg for the 38th Annual Motorama Events! From hours of Arenacross, Go Kart and Quarter Midget racing to Robot Conflict, Remote Control cars, Ms. Motorama preliminaries and an extensive Rod, Custom and Tuner show, Motorama Events 2016 proved to be a great success with a jam-packed second day still to come!

The Ms. Motorama contestants took to the Expo Hall stage, Saturday afternoon, to compete in a fan-judged swim suit contest. Based on fan voting, Breanne placed first followed by Brandilyn in second and Emily taking third place. The judges will reveal their choice swim suit contest winner on Sunday along with the crowning of Ms. Motorama 2016 after sportswear and interview rounds.

In Arenacross action, Lebanon’s Lowell Spangler and Export’s Steve Roman dominated their respective qualifiers. Spangler scored qualifying wins in the 25+ Open A 2 Wheel and the Open-A 2 Wheel classes with Roman scoring wins in the same classes. Additional 2-wheel action saw Jonestown’s Casey Clark and Cold Spring Harbor, New York’s Justin Cooper pick up qualifying wins.

The 4-wheelers were also in action in the Large Arena as Frenchburg, Kentucky’s Casey Martin, Avonmore’s Joshua Deemer and Beech Creek’s Robert McGhee all claimed qualifying wins, Saturday afternoon.

The Speed Show will be bursting with excitement tomorrow (Sunday) when 5-time Miss Monster Energy Supercross and TV-Host, Dianna Dahlgren, joins us for a meet-and-greet signing at the “Amped Apparel” booth! The first meet-and-greet will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. and the second will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Fans are invited to Tweet their photos with Dianna on Twitter and include these hashtags: #Motorama2016 and #DDAmped!

IMG_5568This year’s charity, the Children’s Miracle Network and Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital held a silent auction on Saturday which raised $6,000. A second silent auction will he held Sunday. Along with the silent auction, there will be a “People’s Choice Voting” competition where everyone is invited to purchase a ticket for your favorite car at the Children’s Miracle Network booth or from any Ms. Motorama contestant, sending 100% of the proceeds to the Children’s Miracle Network Hershey!

Go Karts, Quarter Midgets and Remote Control cars held qualifiers on Saturday and will conclude with feature races on Sunday. Finals racing action for the Go Karts (Northeast Building) and Quarter Midgets (Northwest Building) begin Sunday at 11:00 a.m. 1/8 Scale Remote Control and 1/10 Scale Electric Remote Control Finals begin Sunday at 8:00 a.m. in the Equine Arena and Equine Barn.
