Downtown Parade Kicks Off Oswego Super Dirt Week

image-xlOSWEGO, NY – October 5, 2016- A procession of DIRTcar Racing race cars will take to the streets of Oswego, New York with a police escort to officially kick off NAPA Auto Parts Super DIRT Week on Wednesday, October 5th at 12 p.m.

As many as 50 Big-Block Modifieds, 358-Modifieds, Sportsman Modifieds and Pro Stocks will leave two-by-two from Gate 6 at Oswego Speedway, led by the Oswego Police Department and the official NAPA Super DIRT Week pace-car. The caravan will turn south onto City Line Road, west onto East Avenue, and then head north on East 10th Street to East Utica Street, crossing the bridge into the west-side of town to West First Street. They will then turn back east on Route 104 to Oswego Speedway, for a nearly 5-mile ride.

Just a few hours following the procession’s return to the historic Oswego Speedway, the first cars will take the track. The Super DIRTcar Series Big-Block Modifieds hit the 0.625-mile clay-oval for the first time in 64-years on Wednesday at 3 p.m.
