Super DIRTcar Penalties Come Down Following Bridgeport

Concord, NC – World Racing Group has announced penalties in the big-block Modified Super DIRTcar Series . Per the series rulebook and the integrity of the sport, such infractions shall be announced. Members in good standing have the right to appeal the decision to World Racing Group Appeal Commission as provided in Section 12 of General Rules and Specifications

Super DIRTcar Series Penalties:

Neal Williams, of the Super DIRTcar Series violated section 11.1-J of the DIRTcar Racing rulebook.

11.1-J:

Any member that attempts and/or is found to be using tires that are found to be illegal in any manner will be suspect to disqualification and/or fine and/or suspension and/or loss of points and/or any other action deemed appropriate by Super DIRTcar Series and/or DIRTcar Officials

and/or World Racing Group Supervisory Officials.

Tire samples were taken May 16, 2017 at Bridgeport Speedway in a post-race inspection in the Big Block Modified Series Event and sent to an independent laboratory for testing for chemically altering substances in the tires. The test showed that Neal Williams tire had been altered and did not conform to benchmarks provided by Hoosier Tire Company.

Williams has been suspended from all DIRTcar sanctioned events until July 6, 2017, Loss of all points and money earned May 16, 2017, fined a total of $3,950 and placed on probation until December 31, 2017.
