Fonda Speedway Celebrates Independence Day with Fireworks and Racing

1-IMG_0513FONDA, NY- June 29, 2016- The “Track of Champions” will be back in action on July 2nd with the 61 lap, $3061.00 to win “CD” Coville modified tribute race. It will also be double points at the speedway for the modified cars and with the top 4 in points, Varin, RJ, The Doctor and Jeremy Wilder being only 10 points apart and several invaders showing interest in this race anything is possible.

Also in action will be the ever-popular Pro Stock division along with the A Verdi 602 Sportsman, Rookie Sportsman, and Street Stocks will also be joined by the CRSA Sprint Cars for their 4th of July swing thru the region. Champion Generators of Newark, NY a series sponsor of the CRSA Sprint Cars will be giving away a 4000-watt generator to some lucky fan if they “catch” the correct winner.

1-IMG_0691With the points battles heating up let’s not lose sight of the STR Trailer Repair Super Series for the Sportsman cars between Glen Ridge and Fonda Speedway or the “DARE YA” point fund challenge for the modified division between the two tracks. STR Trailer Repair is also sponsoring a $100.00 bonus to the winner of the Pro Stock and Rookie Sportsman Division winners at Fonda Speedway.

Fireworks will be returning to the Track of Champions this year to help celebrate the Fourth of July and will be held at the conclusion of the evenings racing events.

Grandstand admission is just $16.00 for adults, $14.00 for seniors and $2.00 for kids under 12. The grandstands gates close at 3:30 pm and reopen at 4:30pm. So if you want to take advantage of our blanket policy please do so before 3:30pm. And remember there is no smoking in the grandstands and carry in alcohol is NOT allowed as beer is sold on premises.

Please come join us for some great racing and don’t forget the racing museum opens at 3pm, National Anthem at 7:25pm and the first heat race hits the speedway at 7:30pm.
