DUNDEE, NY – For the first time in history, the Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By VP heads to Outlaw Speedway on June 7.

The inaugural ‘Ultimate Outlaw 50’ is set for Tuesday night (June 7) with a Wednesday rain date. The STSS big-block/small-block Modifieds battle for $5,000 to win, $1,000 for 10th and $400 to take the green flag plus lap money, bonuses and other special awards. The event will be among the richest in history at the Route 14A speedway.

Over the winter months, local racer and businessman Tyler Siri purchased the Dundee, N.Y., oval from Dean Hoag. Immediately, a rebranding was launched under the ‘Outlaw Speedway’ moniker and widespread improvements were implemented. Thus far in 2016, participation has been at an all-time high from both competitors and fans at the four-tenths-mile track.

Tuesday’s event breaks new ground for the STSS, serving as Round No. 4 of the Halmar International North Region.

After three events, Erick Rudolph of Ransomville, N.Y., sits atop the point standings. Rudolph has been consistent in 2016 on the series, finishing sixth at the opener in April at Orange County Fair Speedway in Middletown, N.Y., third at Big Diamond Speedway in Minersville, Pa., and most recently seventh on Memorial Day Weekend at Thunder Mountain Speedway in Center Lisle, N.Y.

Rudolph holds a scant nine-point advantage over defending series champion Stewart Friesen. Completing the front five are Danny Johnson, Tommy Meier and Mike Mahaney.

Three different drivers have visited STSS North Victory Lane this season: Meier at Orange County, Ryan Watt in a North/South Combo event at Big Diamond and most recently local driver Chad Cook at Thunder Mountain.

069For the ‘Ultimate Outlaw 50’ pit gates open at 4 p.m. Hot laps begin at 6:15 p.m. and racing gets underway at 7 p.m.

Adult grandstand admission is $20. Seniors and students ages 13-17 pay $18 and Kids 12 and under are FREE.
