Weedsport%20WoO%205-22-16%20J016Weedsport NY.- May 31, 2016-The newly renovated Weedsport Speedway will be the stage on Sunday, June 5th, as the Northeast’s best Sportsman racers will double down for not one, but two feature events.

The evening will kick off at 6:00 PM with the remainder of the held over Last Call Sportsman Championship presented by St. Lawrence Radiology. While the field is three quarters set, a consolation race will still need to be completed. A B-Main was also added to provide a last chance qualifying opportunity to cars failing to make the Main, as well as competitors who were not in attendance last fall. Round one will conclude with the 40 Lap, $2,000 to win feature.

Weedsport%20WoO%205-22-16%20J004The slate gets wiped clean at the conclusion of the 40 lap event. Qualifying will take place with an additional $100 going to each heat race winner thanks to Industrial Tire of CNY, proud sponsor of Weedsport’s Sportsman Classic in July. The heats and consolation races will set the grid for the 25 lap finale presented by Spano Container. The TUSA Mod Lites will also be on the card and put on a great show at the famed 3/8 mile.

Both sportsman events will count toward the Napa Sportsman Shootout Series Championship as well as the DIRTcar regional program.  As an additional bonus, Spano Container has posted an additional $500 to any competitor who can win both Sportsman main events! 51 Sportsman were in attendance for Weedsport’s season opener on May 22nd, and the Speedway staff could not be happier with the support from their staple division.

Pit Gates will open at 3:00 PM and the Grandstands at 4:00 PM. Racing will begin at 6:00 PM.  Pit admission will be $25 for members and $30 for non-members.  General Admission is $12 for Adults, $5 for Students (ages 11-17), and children 10 and under are free.  Ticket stubs or wristbands from the Saturday portion of last year’s Last Call event will be redeemable for a $15 dollar off Pit admission, or free General Admission Adult Admission to include an additional $3 off coupon to be redeemed toward general admission in 2016.
