dsc_0249OAKS, PA December 20, 2016 . . . If you have ever wondered auto racing videos are created, how that great action show was caught, your questions will be answered at the Pioneer Pole Buildings Motorsports 2017 Fueled by Sunoco Race Fuels and Distributed by Insinger Performance Race Car and Trade show set for January 20th thru January 22nd at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, PA. Weedsport Productions has raised the bar on the way auto racing is filmed and how live footage is edited.

During the show, the 31st edition of the popular show, attendees will have the opportunity to visit and tour the vehicle.

Al Heinke, Weedsport, NY Speedway’s owner, has engaged the services of Bret Moses of Otto Media (Syracuse, NY), a video production specialist whose company includes artists, writers, creators and technologists who customize video to the venue, in this case dirt track racing. “We always have a camera on the leader with a second on the ‘battle’ wherever that may be in the lineup,” said Moses.

“What we film on any given race night can be sent as a short video to television channels right away and be aired without any further work on their part,” said Moses. Obviously, this means immediate exposure to a wide viewing audience resulting in wider exposure for sponsors and teams, far beyond that of just the fans at the track.

Matt Thomas, well known in the business of motorsports, serves as the Systems Engineer, Thomas makes the call from the production truck to the cameras and switchboard.

A motor home that has been retrofitted with the latest high definition, live switching and replay technology and equipment is the mobile home for Weedsport Productions.

While housed on the race track campus, one can contract with Weedsport Productions to have the equipment and personnel come to your location and provide the same services it does for Weedsport Speedway. Brett Hearn, promoter of “The Big Show” Super DIRTcar Series event, did just that for his July event held at Albany-Saratoga Speedway.

At the upcoming January 20-21-22 2017 PPG Motorsports Race Car & Trade Show, the Weedsport Productions Mobile Communications Unit will be on display and open for tours.

Just recently announced is the Memories of Dorney Park Speedway which was located in Allentown, PA. The announcement has created a great deal of interest in the attraction with attendees invited to meet many of the past heroes of racing at the legendary auto racing facility.

A featured guest at Motorsports 2017 will be seven time NASCAR Premier Series champion Richard Petty considered the King of NASCAR.

Many other well-known racers and personalities will be appearing at the show with details to be announced.

The 3-day show will again fill 250,000 square feet of the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center with just about everything imaginable in motorsports available for attendees to see.

Over 250 race cars, representing many different segments of the sport, will be on hand. In addition hardcore vendors will be part of the show along with many racing facilities offering information on their 2017 season.

Again, as in the past, free industry seminars will be offered.

Exhibit space is filling quickly so now is a good time to reserve a display area. Call Danny Sammons at 609.888.3618 or danny@aarn.com.
