Fresno Ca.-Returning to the helm of the Roth Motorsports No. 83 machine in 2016, Joey Saldana is looking forward to running close to Roth Motorsports’ shop in April when the World of Outlaws return to the Bakersfield Speedway for the Budweiser Bash.

“I am excited for the 2016 season and to be teaming back up with Dennis and Teresa Roth,” said Joey Saldana. “They have been so involved in this sport over the years, and I am looking forward to running so close to the shop at the start of the year. We only get to run close to the home base on a couple of occasions and hopefully we can have a good showing when we return to Bakersfield Speedway.”

Climbing aboard the Fresno, CA based Roth Motorsports No. 83, Saldana comes into the 2016 season as the World of Outlaws most recent winner as he claimed the World Finals win back in November in Charlotte, NC.

The return of the World of Outlaws to the Bakersfield Speedway on April 15th gives Saldana and his Roth Motorsports team a chance to run in front of many Roth Motorsports supporters, and they will be looking for another trophy to add to the Roth Motorsports collection.

Coming off of a season that saw him finish sixth in the season standings and pick up three feature event win, Saldana is hopeful that a reunion with Roth Motorsports will see him return to championship contending form.

In the World of Outlaws most recent visit to the Bakersfield Speedway Saldana had success has he finished in the second spot aboard the Volcano Joe’s No. 2 machine.

“So much has changed over the years it is hard to look back at 2005 results,” Saldana said. “It is good knowing you have ran well at the track before, but it will basically be an even playing field for everyone, but I am looking forward to it.”
