CHASE FOR TITLE KICKS OFF ON APRIL 2ND WITH NASCAR TRIPLEHEADER

BECHTELSVILLE, PA March 18, 2016 . . .” I mean, listen, we’re talking about practice, not a game, not a game, not a game, we talking about practice. Not a game.” That is the famous quote by basketball great Allen Iverson back several years ago. Perhaps Iverson did not feel practice was important but many racers do and that is why a large turnout of racers is expected for the Saturday, March 26th free-to-the-public practice session at NASCAR sanctioned Grandview Speedway in Bechtelsville, PA.

Activity is expected to get the green flag at noon with many different classes of competition expected to join the Grandview regulars of T.P.Trailers NASCAR 358 Modifieds, BRC Late Models and Sportsman stock cars.

The Saturday afternoon practice session will give racers the opportunity to test and tune their racing equipment for the new season, work out the kinks and just get a feel for the track before “official” racing action gets underway on April 2nd.

Fans will possibly get a chance to see what their favorite racer will be bringing to the Saturday night battles for the new season.

DSC_0013Season passes will be available, $350 per person, and those who have season passes and have not done so already will have the opportunity pick their seat that will be good for every Saturday night stock car racing event, April through September (Freedom 76).

The battle for the 2016 NASCAR championships gets underway on Saturday, April 2nd, 7 p.m. with a stellar field of racers expected to be taking part in the lucrative championship chases for the T.P.Trailers NASCAR 358 Modifieds, BRC Late Models and Sportsman stock cars.

Everyone can stay informed by checking at www.grandviewspeedway.com where a complete schedule of events can be found or on Facebook and Twitter. Racers are reminded that they can find all the rules of competition on the website. The track phone number is 610.754.7688.

Those wanting to advertise in the track magazine, purchase billboard space or sponsor a night can get all the details by contacting Ernie Saxton at ESC, Inc., esaxton144@aol.com or telephone 267.934.7286.

Grandview Speedway is a one-third-mile, banked clay oval, one of the most successful short track operations in the nation, located on Passmore Road, just off Route 100, in Bechtelsville, PA, just 10 miles north of Pottstown.
