162CONCORD, NC- October 25, 2016- Augusta-based Bad Boy Off Road will bring the cream of the crop in Georgia dirt late model racing to the the Oct. 27-29 Bad Boy Off Road World of Outlaws World Finals at The Dirt Track at Charlotte.

Brandon Overton and Dale McDowell will lead the Peach State stars into a a three-day spectacular of unprecedented, wheel-to-wheel dirt late model action in the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series season finale.

Overton – a 25-year-old Evans, Ga., native – ranks fourth in series points with one victory to his credit and the potential to achieve another once the green flag flies, while Chickamauga, Ga., native and Team Dillon Racing driver McDowell seeks his second victory and eighth top-10 in his 11th start of the season.

Bad Boy Off Road-sponsored McDowell has captured two fast times in his 10 qualifying sessions this year. A quick time at The Dirt Track would go a long way toward claiming Outlaw win number two on the season, but he’ll have to fend off top-notch competitors like Overton to do so.

img_0104“We are thrilled to have such a strong contingent of Georgia drivers competing in the Bad Boy Off Road World of Outlaws World Finals,” Bad Boy Off Road Director of Marketing and Strategy Warren Johnson said.

“The Dirt Track at Charlotte is a tremendous venue and this is a special race that I’m sure Dale, Brandon and all of the Georgia racers want to win. Additionally, we’re excited to offer fans a unique opportunity to climb in one of our vehicles and – thanks to our dealers, Kevin Powell Motorsports, Nichols Buggies and Bass Pro Shops – drive on our purpose-built test course. It’s going to be an unforgettable weekend for drivers and fans alike.”

Another driver itching to carve out a piece of Charlotte history is Cla Knight, who grew up just miles from the heart of Augusta, Georgia – but with a dream of capturing checkered flags instead of green jackets.

Knight will compete in the preliminary weekend to the World Finals showcase, the Short Track World Championships this Friday and Saturday.

“This is a big platform and stage to come up and race,” Knight said. “It’s Race City, so I want to come up there and run well.”
