SUSQUEHANNA, PA……..Penn Can Speedway has announced the return of 360 Sprint Car Racing to the Susquehanna oval for the first time since 2007. The Patriot 360 Sprint Cars will invade the track for a big show on Friday, June 12th. The show will cap off what is being billed as Penn Can Speedweek.

“We are excited to announce that The Patriot 360 Sprint Cars will visit Penn Can for the first time in eight years”, said new Promoter Dan Harpell. “They are a great addition to an exciting 2015 schedule”.

This will be the fourth appearance at Penn Can by the Patriot group. Two of the first three were won by Chuck Hebing. In his three Patriot starts at Penn Can “Cobra”, Hebing’s nickname, has two wins and a fifth place finish to his credit. Hebing, the all-time feature win leader in Patriot history with 37 wins would have to be considered an early favorite in this event.

It will be a homecoming of sorts for another driver. Former Penn Can Modified competitor and long time sprint car driver George Suprick will make a long awaited return to the speedway for this show. Suprick took home a fifth place finish the last time Patriot was at Penn Can. He is third on the all time Patriot Sprint win list with 14 victories.

The other driver to capture a Patriot Sprint Car feature win at Penn Can is Justin Barger. The second generation driver divided his time between 410 Sprint Cars and the 360’s in 2014.

Jared “The Juice” Zimbardi is the defending Patriot Sprint Tour Champion, a fete he accomplished for the second time in 2014. The 27 year old Bradford, Pennsylvania driver had a dominating year, garnering seven wins and the Canadian Series Championship enroute to the overall Patriot Championship.

The Patriot Sprint Car visit will cap off Penn Can Speedweek. The week will begin on Friday, June 5th with the annual Bike Giveway Night, where over 100 kids rode off with a new bicycle in 2014. Gary Folk, Jr. who directs the annual event promises an even bigger this year.

Four days later the Race of Champions Modified Series invades Penn Can. That show will take place on Tuesday night, June 9th and will also include the RoC Sportsman and Four Cylinders.

The Penn Can Speedweek will conclude on Friday, June 12th with the Patriot Sprint Tour coming to town. Look for announcements in the coming weeks about discount ticket opportunities for these events.

Be sure to circle Friday, June 12th on your calendar as a can’t miss night at Penn Can. It’s the first appearance of the Patriot 360 Sprint Cars at the track since 2007 and they are sure to put on a tremendous show.
