052(DUNDEE, N.Y.) – One of the biggest paying events of the season at Outlaw Speedway was set to take place this coming Saturday. But a strong chance of wet, cold weather on Saturday has forced Outlaw Speedway owner and promoter, Tyler Siri, to change the event to Sunday October 23rd.

“After looking at the forecast for the last handful of days, it’s getting worse,” said Siri when contacted by phone. “We need to move the event to Sunday to assure that we can get this show in as scheduled.”

Siri, first-year Outlaw Speedway owner and promoter, has shown that he is not afraid to put on a big show with even bigger payouts. The Outlaw Fall Nationals back in September saw huge numbers of fans and cars turn out for two straight days of door-to-door action for big payouts.

This Sunday’s Dutch Hoag Memorial 7s Wild Nationals will be no different, except the ‘Dutch Hoag’ has been trimmed to a one-day show featuring eight of dirt’s most exciting divisions. 2016 saw the traditional Fall event at the Yates County oval be renamed to the Dutch Hoag Memorial after the local racing community lost the local racing legend prior to the season beginning.

Dutch Hoag was a champion and a fixture in the Northeast motorsports scene, before quite successfully passing that down to his son Dean, who was a Limited Supermodified powerhouse at Oswego Speedway prior to purchasing Black Rock Speedway in the early 2000’s. Dutch’s grandson, Alex has had success not only on dirt but pavement as well. Surely the former Race of Champions winner was even proud of seeing a fourth generation of the Hoag family, who has shown great interest in going fast and turning left.

The Dutch Hoag Memorial 7s Wild Nationals in total, will see 360 Sprint Cars, Dirt Modifieds, Crate Sportsman, IMCA Modifieds, Street Stocks, Pure Stocks, Four Cylinders and 600 Micro Sprints compete on Sunday October 23rd.

110Saturday night will now see an open practice session with gates opening at 5:00 and practice running from 7:00-10:00, with teams having the option to bring their haulers into the pit area to park them in preparation for Sunday. Entrants to the pit area Saturday night will be $20. Fans are allowed to camp out at the speedway all weekend long free of charge as always.

Sunday will see the Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints, Patriot Sprint Tour and United Racing Club swing in for the 2016 360 sprint car season finale in New York, featuring some of the Northeast’s best 360 Sprint Car drivers compete for a $3,000-to-win show. This race, officiated by the Empire Super Sprints, will pay $300 to take the green flag and will pay $100 for non-qualifiers.

The Dutch Hoag Memorial also features Round 3 of the open tire Sunoco Modified Triple Crown, with a seventy-lap $7,000-to-win, $700-to-start feature event. Tyler Siri and Steve Paine still have a chance to win the $12,500 Sunoco bonus if they can win the Dutch Hoag Memorial. Paine spoiled the party for Siri, after winning the Outlaw Fall Nationals in September. Sunday night will also see a seven-lap, $700-to-win dash for cash for the Modifieds.

Also on the card Sunday will be an open tire Crate Sportsman Shootout, going thirty laps for $1,500-to-win and $150-to-start. The IMCA Modifieds will race in a twenty-five-lap $1,000-to-win event.

The Street Stocks will compete in their annual Empire 100 event that pays a season-high $2,000-to-win and $200-to-start. Newly added to the mix for the Dutch Hoag Memorial will be the Pure Stocks, who will race for $500-to-win in a twenty-five-lap affair.

The Four Cylinders will go twenty-five laps for $1,000-to-win to close out the Sunday night program. The rules being every rear wheel drive car weighs 2,500 pounds, front wheel drives weigh 2,300 pounds, no strokers, no roller heads, no super chargers, no turbos and DOT tires only, tube chassis being allowed. The 600 Micro Sprints will go twenty laps for $1,000-to-win.

Racing begins at 1:00 on Sunday with general admission being $22 for adults 13 and up with Senior Citizens paying the discounted price of $20. Pit gates open at 8:00 with pit admission being set at $40.

Hot laps will fire off at 12:00pm, with heats taking the green flag at 1:00. The first feature race of the night will take Scott Hixson’s green flag at 5:30pm, which will be preceded by a tribute to Dutch Hoag, with his family expected to be in attendance as well.

Children 12 and under are always FREE at Outlaw Speedway. Camping is also always free on the grounds as well. 2016 saw the speedway expand its camping area with plenty of room for the whole family to pack up and make it a weekend.
