2014-09-09 21-18DUNDEE, NY -May 11, 2016- Outlaw Speedway first-year owner and promoter Tyler Siri has pulled the six shooters out and is ready to fight back at Mother Nature this week.

After losing the last three Friday nights to rain, the weather forecast already shows an 80% chance of rain for this Friday which prompted the staff at Outlaw to change things up in an effort to finally get the 2016 season started.  The 2016 season will get under way on Thursday night at 7:00PM at the Dundee, NY oval.

“We want to go racing, the racers want to go racing, the fans want to see some racing and Mother Nature has made us think outside the box a little bit here,” said Siri when contacted Monday morning.  “We’re not afraid to go outside of the norm to accomplish our goals and we have seen other tracks in the area that are doing the same to try and shake this weather spell we’ve been under.  With an 80% chance of rain Friday, we just don’t want to see four rain outs in a row.”

That will set the stage for a regular show on Thursday night consisting of Friendly Dodge and Ford Big Block/Small Block Modifieds, Crate Sportsman, Crate Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, Creekside Entertainment Street Stocks, Four Cylinders and Winners Circle Bandits.  Outlaw Speedway will work with the Patriot Sprint Tour officials to reschedule the American Series event that was scheduled for Friday night.

2014-09-10 10-59Thursday Night Thunder will be the opening points race for all divisions with the Modifieds having their first crack at their $2,000-to-win and $200-to-start purse.  With rain being abundant with this week’s forecast, Thursday night could spell a great opportunity for the regular contingent and some outsiders to come in and challenge for the title of first Modified winner at Outlaw Speedway.  History will be made on Thursday night and you will not want to miss it!

General admission for this ‘Thursday Thunder’ opening night event is just $12 for ages 13 and up.  Seniors will pay the discounted price of $10, while children 12 and under are always free at Outlaw Speedway.  Pit passes will be set at the regular price of $30 per person.  Pit gates will open at 4:30PM while general admission gates will open at 5PM.  Steve Kellogg’s first green flag of the night is slated to wave at 7:00PM.
