Stuart Rowlands – CORONA, Cali. (Dec. 12, 2017): MAVTV and Lucas Oil Racing TV will broadcast “LIVE” the 32nd running of the world famous Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Midget Nationals presented by General Tire, on Saturday night, January 13, 2018, starting at 8:30 PM (ET), from the River Spirit Expo Center in Tulsa, Okla.

Known as the “Super Bowl of Midget Racing”, the 2018 Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Nationals attracts drivers from nearly every level, including Midgets, Late Models, Super Modified, World of Outlaws, NASCAR, ASCS, and USAC. Drivers from over 25 US States plus Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the United Kingdom attend, making it the world’s largest indoor Midget race

With the number of 2018 Chili Bowl entries expected to top 250, the 2017 champion Christopher Bell again faces the daunting task of defeating the likes of 5-time Chili Bowl champion Sammy Swindell, Rico Abreu, Kyle Larson, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Jerry Coons Jr., Cory Kruseman and Kasey Kahne.
“No one understands grassroots racing like MAVTV,” stated Bob Patison, President of MAVTV Motorsports Network. “Each year the Chili Bowl airing has produced the highest rated shows on the network. This year we expect even better results especially with the growth of the LucasOilRacing.TV app worldwide expanding our international fan base.”
The telecast will feature a special “goodbye” to broadcast legend Dave Despain. The MAVT/LORTV telecast will be anchored by Bob Dillner with Ken Stout and Rob Klepper handling commentary and Dave Argabright working the pits.
The 2018 Chili Bowl telecast on Saturday, January 13 will be preceded by a “Sprint Car Marathon” starting at 11:30 AM (ET).
