NARDELLI WINS HIS EIGHTH FEATURE OF THE YEAR AT BRIDGEPORT SPEEDWAY
Sicklerville, NJ (August 25, 2015) – At Bridgeport Speedway’s Poker Series race on Sunday, August 23, Lee Nardelli won his eighth wingless 600cc Micro-Sprint feature of the year.
The night of racing started off on a good note as Nardelli finished second in his heat race. Even though he finished in the runner-up position, the Bridgeton, NJ driver adjusted his car for the extra distance 25-lap feature. “I made quite a few changes,” stated Nardelli. Coming from third place on the starting grid, Nardelli quickly moved into second place behind front running Bill Thomas. He took the lead from Thomas with six circuits completed. Nardelli remained on top for the remainder of the contest to gain the win and the $1000 first place prize.
Afterwards, Nardelli was pleased with the condition of the quarter dirt oval. “The track was good. It definitely had its slick spots. The track crew did work hard to give us a good surface,” stated the victor.
With only a few events remaining, the point leading Nardelli is staying focused on winning the wingless 600 Micro-Sprint title. “There are three point races remaining. I just hope I can continue to keep the momentum going and win the championship,” commented Nardelli. His next race will be onFriday, August 28 at Bridgeport Speedway.
