Bechtelsville Pa.- May 9, 2016- Ms. Motorsports Arynne Moody of Etters, PA will be part of the NAPA Auto Parts Thunder on the Hill Racing Series open set for Sunday, May 29. This Triple Thunder Thriller event, presented by Pioneer Pole Buildings will find the Big Block Modifieds challenge the weekly 358 Modifieds in a 40 lap main event that will pay $5,000 to the winner, $1,000 for tenth and a hefty $500 payoff just to start the main event.
As an added treat, the talented Ms. Motorsports will also sing the National Anthem in a salute to the red, white and blue on this Memorial Day weekend.
This big racing event will also find the Sportsman and the TSRS Sprints on the card competing in a series of heat race qualifying all leading up to the Triple Thunder Thriller “big 3” feature events. Craig VonDohren, Duane Howard, Jeff Strunk, Billy Pauch Jr, Ryan Watt and Rick Laubach are just a few drivers eyeing the $5,000 payoff. Gates will open at 5 PM with race time set for 7:30 PM.
The popular 2016 Thunder Series schedule has a lot to offer this year including the return of the USAC Non-Wing Sprints in the 10th Annual Eastern Storm. This year, the 358 NASCAR Modifieds will do double-duty with USAC on Tuesday night, June 7. If you have never seen the USAC Non-Wing Sprints at Grandview, this is a “must see” event.
Some say watching the USAC time trials along is worth the price of admission. In any case, the norm for the USAC Non-Wing Sprints is plenty of side-by-side racing, numerous slide jobs, some wheelies, a little wheel banging and a bounce or two off the outside wall. So, if you are accustomed to single file races or winners from the pole, you will not see that type of show at Grandview Speedway on Tuesday night, June 7.
The Thunder on the Hill Racing Series mainstay activities and promotions, providing fun for the fans with elements such as: Pre-Race Pit Tours, the Inside/Out Experience – where fans can sign-up to watch hot laps from the infield, the Low Down & Dirty Radio Show pre-race Meet & Greet, JOE “THE PIZZA DUDE”, giveaways, fireworks, and appearances by the Thunder Girls will all be part of the coming season, plus a few added surprises presented by GALCO Business Communications and Quaker Steak & Lube restaurants.
