World of Outlaw Sprints Invade Tuesday, May 24th

059NEW EGYPT, NJ- May 21, 2016- Mother Nature reared her ugly head yet again and forced the cancellation of New Egypt Speedway’s NASCAR Night event on Saturday, May 21st. The next regular Saturday night event is Saturday, May 28th. It’s Military Appreciation Night and all active and retired military with their military ID receive FREE General Admission.

But first up the “The Greatest Show On Dirt” the World of Outlaw Craftsman Tool Sprint Cars are headed for their only New Jersey appearance of 2016 to New Egypt Speedway on Tuesday, May 24th. The stars will hit the 7/16th mile oval to cap off their northeast assault after visiting the Pennsylvania 410 sprint region. True Outlaw Kerry Madsen has been on a tear with back-to-back victories at Ohio’s Eldora Speedway but all the drivers will be chasing defending race winner Daryn Pittman.

NES 4-16-16 276This year’s competition again looks to be tough for Pittman. Defending champion Donny Schatz seemed to have a better grip on the tricky New Egypt configuration and Joey Saldana set a new track record during time trials followed by a solid eighth place finish. Both will be in attendance along with fellow Outlaw superstars Brad Sweet (their current point leader), Shane Stewart, David Gravel, Jason Johnson, Jason Sides, Paul McMahan, Logan Schuchart, Jacob Allen, Kerry Madsen as well as PA Posse members Danny Dietrich, Brent Marks, Ryan Smith, and more.

Pit gates will open at 2 pm, will call will open at 3:30 pm, grandstands will open at 4 pm, hot laps will begin at 6:30 pm, and racing starts at 7:30 pm. General Admission tickets are $30, reserved tickets are $35, teens 12-15 are $15, and children 11 and under are free. Pit admission is $40. Advanced tickets are on sale now at dirtcar.ticketforce.com.

New Egypt Speedway is located on Route 539 just minutes from Six Flags Great Adventure and the New Jersey Turnpike.
