Sicklerville, NJ (November 1, 2015) – Mike Iles won the 40-lap Romp in the Swamp Call Before You Dig Championship on Bridgeport Speedway’s quarter mile dirt oval. The victory was worth $10,000.

At the start of the feature event, Rocco Infante grabbed the lead with Mike Iles and Billy Pauch, Jr in his tracks. Pauch slipped by Iles on the second circuit just before the first of three cautions took place for a multi-car tangle. When action got back underway, Infante remained on top with Iles reclaiming the runner-up spot which sent Pauch back to third. The duel between Infante and Iles was just heating up when Corey Andersen lost a wheel after clipping an infield tire. When green flag racing resumed, the top three of Infante, Iles, and Pauch remained intact with Ryan Godown in fourth and Dom Buffalino in fifth. By the fourteenth lap, Iles began to apply pressure on Infante. At the halfway mark, Infante was barely holding off Iles to remain the leader with Godown charging past Pauch for third. Using the outside lane, Iles raced door to door with Infante for the next few tours and he edged into the lead on lap twenty-four. Iles was beginning to distance himself from the field when the final yellow flag waved for Richie Pratt on the twenty-seventh circuit. On the restart, Iles held off Infante’s strong bid to regain the lead with Godown in third. With ten tours remaining, Iles was pulling away while Infante and Godown were battling for second. Godown took over the runner-up position from Infante with nine laps left. In the final tours, Iles remained on top and avoided a spinning Ron Roberts on the last circuit to claim the win. Godown came home in second with Infante finishing in third. Pauch and Buffalino completed the top five.

Time trials took place prior to the main events and the top five automatically advanced to the A-Main. Ryan Godown was the fastest time trialer. The remaining top five were Lou Cicconi, Billy Pauch, Jr., Mike Iles and Rocco Infante.

The ten-lap C-Main was captured by Ryan Watt with Jimmy Horton taking the checkered in the ten-lap B-Main. With the top five finishers of each sub-main advancing into the next event, Ryan Watt and Tom Carberry, Sr. overcame their respective time trial results to advance into the feature event by finishing in the top five of each sub-main. Corey Andersen advanced to the A-Main and started eleventh as guaranteed starter Jimmy Horton’s win in the B-Main qualified him for the feature.
