img_0390-xlMYERSTOWN, PA -September 22, 2016 – A trio of high profile, Central Pennsylvania programs stand ahead for Brent Marks Racing and crew, including the $20,000-to-win/$1,000-to-start Dirt Classic at the Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, Pennsylvania.

Rapidly growing as one of the most sought-after events on the Central Pennsylvania circuit, the Dirt Classic will feature all of Pennsylvania’s heavy hitters, as well as a competitive lineup of regional and national talent, all seeking the coveted, five-digit payday. Brent Marks, a three-time winner on the Central Pennsylvania circuit in 2016, will join the ranks at Lincoln Speedway on Saturday, September 24; a perfect opportunity to snag one of the few remaining major paydays on his 2016 schedule.

“With our season winding down, we don’t have too many more opportunities to get a big win,” Marks said. “All wins are ‘big’ and important to us, but we’re hungry to get one as big as the Dirt Classic. We had a really good weekend last weekend; close to getting two wins, just fell a little short. We’ve been close a lot this season. We’ll step it up one more notch beginning Thursday.”

_mg_0511-xlIn addition to the Dirt Classic at Lincoln Speedway on September 24, Brent Marks will enter the $4,000-to-win, National Open Tune-up on Friday evening, September 23, at Williams Grove Speedway, as well as Justin Snyder’s “Salute to the Troops” at Susquehanna Speedway on Thursday, September 22. The “Salute to the Troops” memorial program will award a $5,000 winner’s share.

Brent Marks will enter the weekend with a recent pair of top-five finishes to his credit, one of which during competition at Williams Grove Speedway. The pilot of the Brent Marks Racing, M&M Painting & Construction, BAPS Auto Paint & Supply, Creekside Auto Sales, Fredericksburg Eagle Hotel, Russell Heller Builders, KC Automotive, No. 19M finished third at “The Grove” on Friday night, September 16, followed by a fourth place finish during the non-stop, Jim Nace Memorial/National Open for 410 sprint cars at Selinsgrove Speedway.

“I have a hard working crew that never gives up. That is the real reason behind our successes,” Marks said. “We’ve been quick; quicker than our results read. We want to change that this weekend. We want to be the ones getting our pictures taken and holding up the big check the end of the show.”
