Port Royal Living Legends Dream Race This Week

PORT ROYAL, PA- August 2, 2016- The 2016 version of the Living Legends Dream Race for 410 sprints is set to take place at Port Royal Speedway this Saturday, August 6 at 7 pm, also featuring the super late models.
The total night’s purses eclipse $65,000 including more than $55,000 for the sprint cars and another $10,000 for the late models. Thousands and thousands of dollars in contingency cash and prizes is also on the line for the big sprint car event.
General admission gates open at 4 pm. Adult general admission is $27 with students ages 12 – 18 priced at $10.
Honored at this year’s race will be Living Legend driver Randy Wolfe and Living Legend car owners John and Pee Wee Zemaitis.
An autograph session will take place behind the grandstand from approximately 5 – 6 pm with the legends honorees along with numerous former Wolfe car owners and Zemaitis drivers.
Scheduled to appear and sign autographs are Zemaitis pilots Bobby Weaver, Sean Michael, Lucas Wolfe, Stevie Smith and Jeff Shepard along with current pilot Lucas Wolfe.
In addition, Wolfe car owners Jim and Laura Allebach, Glen Hyneman and Rick and Joe Woelfling will also be in attendance.
The 2016 Dream Race will again find the 410 sprints competing in twin 16-lap semi mains followed by a 35-lap Dream A Main, paying a minimum of $10,000 to win while the semis each pay $2,000 to win along with full purses.
Drivers that place first, second and third in each lap of the semis and A will accumulate lap money at the rate of $10/lap.
In addition Hard Charger Awards are posted in the semis and the A.
The super late models will compete for $2,000 to win and $200 to start on the night in a 25-lap feature event.
