Malta, New York – May 18, 2017 – When the Albany-Saratoga Speedway swings open its gates on Friday, May 19, it will be “Law Enforcement Night” at the famed Malta oval. All law enforcement officials will be admitted into the speedway, with proper identification, free of charge.
“It’s a chance for us to give back and honor the men and women who protect and serve us all on a daily basis” said promotor Lyle DeVore. “This is an annual event for us and one we are proud to be a part of.”
Fans with children will want to arrive early as law enforcement officials will be on hand to offer free child ID / finger printing to promote child safety. “Keeping our children safe is a top priority,” said Devore. “This is a very important service being offered our parents and children. I hope everyone takes advantage of it.”
Capital District law firm Martin, Harding & Mazzotti, LLP will also be on hand to promote child safety with a bike helmet giveaway for children 11 years of age and under. Plan to arrive early as there will be a limited number of helmets available.
On the race track all divisions will be action including the 4-Cylinder division and the Sowle Trailer Repair (STR) Sportsman series.
Pit gates will open at 4 p.m. The grandstand gates will open at 5 p.m. Racing will begin at 7 p.m. For more information log onto www.albany-saratogaspeedway.com.
