kaeding2BAKERSFIELD, CA- March 5, 2016-  Though winged sprint cars have been on a hiatus from the Bakersfield Speedway, non winged sprint cars have made regular appearances at the speedway, and when in action, Bud Kaeding has done well with the USAC West Coast 360 Series, and is hopeful that success carries over to the winged car when the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series returns to the track on April 15th.

“Before I came back over to a more dominant winged schedule, I was fortunate enough to run at the Bakersfield Speedway every year, and run pretty well,” Kaeding said. “Though there isn’t a ton of crossover between the two cars, I think being there more recently than other drivers will help out a little.”

In Kaeding’s last three appearances at the 1/3 mile speedway, he has landed on the podium in each visit, including a victory back in March of 2012.

Fast Forward to present day, and Kaeding comes into the 2016 season fresh off of one of his best season’s aboard a winged car, as he piloted the potent Williams Motorsports No. 0 machine to a second place finish with the King of the West Series, and recorded his first ever Trophy Cup championship.

Kaeding will look to continue that success in 2016 when he opens his season up, as he will be amongst a strong contingent of California drivers looking to defend California soil on April 15th at the Bakersfield Speedway during the Budweiser Bash.

petersen-media-bud-keyTickets for the Budweiser Bash are now on sale, and fans can purchase their $40 reserved seating seats by calling 1-844-Dirt-Tix (347-8849). General Admission Tickets will be available for $35 while Kids 12-Under will be admitted for just $15.

Those wishing to camp out at the Bakersfield Speedway will be able to do so at no cost, and spots are available on a first come-first serve basis.

On April 15th, the World Of Outlaws Sprint Cars will make their return to the Bakersfield Speedway and the IMCA Modifieds, as well as the IMCA Stock Cars will join them for what should be a great night of racing during the Budweiser Bash.
