Sicklerville, NJ (November 23, 2015) – Jimmy Horton, the Modified 811 Dig Safely Series champion, will receive the lion’s share of the point fund. The five race series was contested on Bridgeport Speedway’s quarter mile during the 2015 season and was open to any type of dirt Modified Stock Car. With back-to-back wins in the final two races, Horton amassed 276 points to claim the title. For his effort, Horton will be rewarded with $1,014. Second place went to Richie Pratt, Jr. The second generation driver wound up with 252 points and he will receive a check worth $510. Johnny Cornell, the 2014 New Egypt Speedway Sportsman champion, took third place in the final standings and earned $264. By finishing fourth, veteran Ron Roberts netted $200. Bob Drayton, who won the opening event, completed the top five in points and will paid $150. In addition to the top five, Brett Ballard and Frank Holmes are set to receive perfect attendance checks of $100 for competing in each event of the Modified 811 Dig Safely Series but not finishing in the top five.

Following the Modified 811 Dig Safely Series, the $10,000 to win 40-lap Romp in the Swamp Call Before You Dig Championship took place on Saturday, October 31. Mike Iles of Medford, NJ was the victor on Bridgeport Speedway’s inner oval over Ryan Godown, Rocco Infante, Billy Pauch, Jr. and Dom Buffalino. For finishing in fifth, Buffalino was awarded a wheel from Vahlco Racing Wheels. The winners of the $50 ERK Steering Repair gift certificates were Scott Ambruster, Jeff Heotzler and Ryan Watt. By capturing the sub-main events at the Romp in the Swamp, Ryan Watt and Jimmy Horton were granted $50 JTees gift certificates towards any order of at least 50 items.

Between the Modified 811 Dig Safely Series and the Romp in the Swamp Call Before You Dig Championship, a total of thirty-seven drivers from the Modified and Sportsman ranks entered at least one race.
