Stewart Friesen Looking To Put Halmar In Victory Lane At Big Show

Sussex, NJ- June 10, 2016 – Brett Hearn’s Big Show 8 is taking shape nicely. Previously announced were marketing partners returning including Recovery Sports Grill, Ferris Commercial Mowers, VP Racing Fuels, and Cedar Peaks Enterprises. Add to that Halmar International and Modified drivers can bank on a $10,000 to win payday. If that isn’t enough, Halmar International is bringing a ‘Canadian Sensation’ to the party fully loaded chasing the Super DIRTcar Series title for the first time since 2009.
Brett Hearn has continued to build the Big Show, which has become one of the must see Big Block Modified Super DIRTcar Series events on everyone’s racing schedule and it happens to take place at the ‘great race place’ Albany-Saratoga Speedway. With NASCAR television personality and dirt enthusiast Kenny Wallace coming to play, it was only fitting Brett ‘the Jet’ continue building the attraction. The only thing missing from his impressive resume is a Super DIRTcar Series championship. In 2016 Halmar International hooked up with the ‘Canadian Sensation’ for a full-time assault on the premier Modified tour.
Halmar teamed up with Friesen along with a coordinated effort between Jeff Daly and Tad Parks to call Albany-Saratoga Speedway home on Friday nights to obtain home track points towards the coveted Mr. Dirt title. When Brett Hearn’s Big Show rolls into town Friesen will not only be in the midst of his full-time Super DIRTcar Series schedule, but he will have home track advantage of sorts at the great race place.
Friesen currently sits 5th in the Super DIRTcar Series Big Block Modified point standings a mere four points behind Billy Dunn. With the Big Show 8 being an early stop on the tour, he has an opportunity to perform well and catapult himself towards top of the point standings. With an average finish of 9th including three top five finishes, make no mistake, Friesen will be aiming at Big Show victory.
Mark down the date of June 28, 2016 for one of the summer’s must see events. Brett Hearn’s Big Show 8 at Albany-Saratoga Speedway, as part of the Big Block Modified Super DIRTcar Series will surely be a star-studded field including NASCAR’s very own Kenny Wallace.
There have been seven previous Brett Hearn’s Big Show events to date. This year marks number five at the great race place. Billy Decker (2009, 2011) and Jimmy Phelps (2010, 2015) are the only repeat winners of Brett Hearn’s Big Show. Other winners include: Bobby Varin (2012), Brett Hearn (2013), and Danny Johnson (2014).
