TRACK CHAMPIONSHIPS IN ALL DIVISIONS ON THE LINE AT FONDA THIS SATURDAY ON HARRY PEEK TRIBUTE NIGHT

1-IMG_0691Fonda, NY –August 19, 2016- This Saturday, August 20 at the “Track of Champions” Fonda Speedway, the 2016 track champions will be crowned in all divisions on Harry Peek Tribute Night. Highlighting the racing card which will feature all divisions in action will be a 50-lap feature event for the modifieds paying $2527 to win!

As always, the Fonda Speedway museum will be open at 3:00 p.m. so come early, tour the museum, and check out all of the memorabilia about the history of the “Track of Champions” and the tribute driver of the night Harry Peek.

Modified points going into the racing program on Saturday are very close among the top three with Jeremy Wilder currently leading the way with 726 points with one feature event win. Following Wilder in the top five are Ronnie Johnson (four feature wins) and Bobby Varin (three feature wins) who are tied for second place with 722 points while Josh Hohenforst, Bodie Bellinger, and Jeff Rockefeller complete the top five with 618, 616, and 578 points respectively with none of those three drivers having any feature wins at Fonda so far in 2016.

In the A-Verdi sportsman division the top five looks like this with Rocky Warner leading the way with four wins and 662 points followed by Dave Constantino with no wins and 527 points, Tim Hartman Jr. and Chad Edwards both with one feature win apiece and both tied for third with 511 points, JaMike Sowle with no feature wins and 505 points, and Tony Farone with one feature win and 499 points.

The rookie sportsman points show David Manchester leading the way with two feature wins and 560 points followed in the top five by Travis Billington (three feature wins) and Josh Neal (two feature wins) who are tied for the second position with 520 points, Mike Peek who has one feature win and 436 points, Brian Calabrese who has two feature wins and 380 points, and Bobby Gage with no feature wins and 362 points.

1-IMG_1031The pro stock points at Fonda have Kenny Gates in the lead with 786 points based on four feature wins followed in the top five by Luke Horning with 715 points and four feature wins, Jason Casey with 686 points with no feature wins, Jim Normoyle with 652 points with no feature wins, and Shane Henderson with 628 points with one feature win.

Josh Coonradt leads the way in the street stock division with 11 feature wins and 832 points followed by Johnny Young with one feature win and 728 points, Bill Yager with no feature wins and 631 points, Jim Groncki with no feature wins and 549 points, and Jason Samrov with no feature wins and 544 points.
